Zhang Fam
When Karis, Cindy and Christine started attending church as teenagers, Madam Chen was supportive. She hoped they could benefit in ways such as improving their grasp of English — and her expectations were surpassed.
A PROUD MOTHER
As a widow raising three daughters on her own, Madam Chen has been heartened by how they have matured through the various programmes and values taught in church. Her daughters grew up as good kids who did well in school and hung around great friends. Church believed in their potential and played a positive role in their growth, offering opportunities that they might not have had otherwise, including overseas exposure and mission trips.
Spending time together working towards a common altruistic goal of investing in youth and young adults has strengthened their bond as sisters and deepened their relationship with Madam Chen. She no longer feels the need to worry or tell them what to do.
SISTERS UNITED
Today, each sister has become a competent, accomplished young woman. Together, they are leaders in The Evolution, building a home and community where youths can grow and discover God for themselves. Once believed in as youth, they are now mentoring and inspiring the next generation of youth and young adults.
